yeah i've seen a lotta oem wheels with lock nuts. EX rims are really sought after. "Oh Civics suck and they're cheap!" yet our cars are up there in the most thefted charts.
take the wheel jack to the police (or to someoen who does it) and have them scan for finger prints on it.
I hate new jersey and the lowlives it houses. Some jackasses stabbed only 2 of my new 17" tires a year back. I never park out on the street anymore; my car always has to be the further inside the driveway
Instead of buying a set of new 17" tires I just bought a new set of 18" tires for my 18" rims sitting around.

damn, I'm sorry about that. I see so many EG/EK hatches with the 03 EX/ 99-00 Si Wheels... those are really popular for the sleeper look.
I dont have rims, I'm still on steelies. Do wheel locks help?

Down here the rims are popular but nobody really takes them too much.

wheel locks dont help at all. if someone wanted to steal your rims with wheel locks on them all they would have to do is get a socket one size bigger than the lugs and hammer the socket into the wheel lock. then the would just twist it off. the socket would be ruined but thats how thieves do it.

Worst Day of My Life
This has been the worst day of my entire f*cken life. About 2 days ago my 98 hatch was stolen. I had some rims, so i figured my rims were probably going to be gone along with my intake and exhaust, big deal...under 1 grand.
But nooooooo....my car was found today and damn i went to check it out. they striped my entire car, from the inside outs. even took the seat! worst of all which got me so fu*king pissed was that they took my GSR block which i have recently bought from a friend not too long ago, and had very low miles. they also took my whole front, yup fenders, front bumper, lights EVERYTHING! (i had the front end converted to an si front)
anyways....this sux asssssss!

I know they'll get theirs at some point.
And yes he did have an alarm, but it was just the stock one.
The other thing is that they only took the two wheels and along with the jack they left the lugnuts

that sux. it probably started to rain hard so they left with just 2 wheels. look on the bright side, at least he has to just buy 2 instead of all 4.
and to invasian, well, i guess it works for all...i dont know if you already told everyone after your car was stolen, but in your case especially its better to just pretend like nothing happened. dont tell anyone...not your friends...no one. then if one of them says "hey, heard about your car...sorry" or "too bad about your car"...you have the thief pegged. im just saying cause you say you just bought a new engine...so someone might have told someone and it got to some shady people and they decided to take it. it sux.

that was my plan too when my car got keyed at the mall. I was suspecting one of my coworkers did it cause they're always talking behind my back about my car (nothing bad, I mostly hear "he's got one of those new Civics"). I haven't heard any "did you get that scratch out?" yet so I think I've got the wrong idea bought my coworkers... or they're good at keepin to themselves
When they see me roll in with my beater '90 Corolla they always ask where the Civic is and I tell them "its in the shop" each time. That way if it gets broken into and nothing's stolen, then I know one of them might have tried it looking for something new in my car.
