if its the drive you are worried about, we will be setting up group rates with a local hotel or two. a few people can share a room and only pay a small amount

well, if you didnt get an email about a month ago, then i dont have it and didnt know youre interested, so earlier in this thread i said "If anyone is interested in attending and did not get an email, please PM me with your contact info i.e. name, email, aim, cell #(optional), etc...."
so to EVERYONE, please, if you are interested, please contact me! i dont know if you dont tell me....
its cool just tryint to reiterate

Hey Isaac, i guess you can take me off the email list. I can't make that at all. That is the last day of our lease and we will be moving so attending this meet is WAY out of the question. Sorry guys.

hey, i voted for traditional. it worked last time. but i really think it should be in NY or NJ this time. the NY/NJ/CT/MA people drove down to MD last time, and no one really complained that much, so i think its time for the MD/VA folks to drive up to us.
i think the traditional BBQ/meet n' greet would work best. people can chill and just hang out, and im sure someone will want to do some DIYing like last time. if you do an event or even a mini show that most likely wont be able to happen.
however, if you want to set up some sort of a "club date" at a race track like englishtown (they might have the road course done by then) or lime rock or watkins glen and then we can all do some racing or just a couple of laps around the track at our own pace to just have some fun, i think that could be pretty cool. it might be a bit expensive tho, and i dont know if tracks like lime rock or watkins glen have any dates open by now.
what we can also do is find some local airport (like that prelude/civic meet we had in south jersey 2 years ago) and maybe get permission to set up an auto-x course and do some of that for fun. i think a bunch of people might be down for that.
anyway, thats my opinion. but i def. think it should be up here this time. past 2 years its been down south and thats not really fair to all the northerners. and PA isnt really that close either, im pretty sure the turnout isnt going to be very good if its in PA.
BTW - i got one email from you, but i didnt reply because i assumed you would just continue sending emails about the meet. i havent gotten any updates, but i dont know if you sent out any other emails besides the one. let me know if you need my email, although i think you have it.
as far as date, i dont know how set 7/31 is, but if its still being decided i want to vote for something in august. ill try to make the 7/31, but i think august would just be easier for me. anyway, keep me posted also.

Even though I am from PA, I must agree. Last year it seemed like alot of people from the North came a long way, but noone really came from the south from the same distance. So it looks like the hard core guys are up north more, so maybe we ought to cater to them and do our own caravan to this one rather than having them caravan to us

I would love for the meet to be held at a different state every year. It would make things more fair, would allow us to see different parts of the country, and allow members to show up which may not have been able to before.
But that would require someone from NY, NJ, DE, WV, and VA to take action, as those are the states(besides PA) that we havent been to yet.
I have only sent out one email so far, since there is no major news to report. But, do keep up-to-date on here and keep an eye out for an email.

no problem man. i consider everyone on this site family, along with my new ephatch.com family, and my motorcyclecity.com family
i go to great lengths to go to meets with these sites. i am always interested in meeting new people and seeing new places, thats why ive been pushing for going to a different state every year, but now one seems to want to put in the effort to plan a meet near them... thats a real shame...
