Cheapest Insurance in MD
Anyone have any ideas as to where I should check? I feel I'm gettin raped with my current agent and want to explore more options. Different companies. I want to know whats the cheapest car insurance I can get. I dont trust my agent anymore. Can someone help me out here?
Heres my status...
20 years old
currently 0 points on my license (April '04 will be 3 years with no tickets/points
)
never had any accidents
Not in school (dont qualify for good student discount)
Have taken a driver improvement course
and currently with my Progressive authorized agent I pay $387.67/month. Last year I was with him, but with MAIF thru him, and I was paying $367.87/month. This year, with no additional points or tickets, it goes up. After points have dropped off my insurance record. WTF???

Nationwide? State Farm? I don't know.......
You're gonna have to basically call all around to all of the companies you can until you find a decent rate. For right now, considering your age, $387 might be the cheapest for you. Curt is with Progressive and only pays like $180 or so a month on the WRX (he's 23). Younger people obviously have higher rates. So, the older you get the more it will drop.
Hang in there!

The eternal struggle that puts me against the world. Argh. I hate insurance companies. I hate feeding those lard asses cash for no reason. I hate having to pay more for insurance than my friends with "real" sport cars (camaros and mustangs). I hate being punished for what others have done that are in my age range. I payed for my mistakes. Gimme a damn break. exit, venting.
