I'm new to the state of Maryland and this forum as a matter of fact. I bought a '03 Lx and am planning on putting in a new HU and some component speakers. I've read a ton on this forum and a few others and feel like I have a decent handle on things. I settled on and bought the Pioneer DEH-P5500MP now I am looking into the component speakers. Does anyone from the area know of any good places to check out speakers? Right now I'm checking out Infinity and Kenwood speakers? Everyone seems to have their own opinions about speakers. I want to spend about $200-$250 on them. Any suggestions?

Now onto the install. For those of you who have installed components, where did you all mount the tweeters? How about the crossovers? I know I can do the HU by myself, I've done it in other cars, but the components are making me nervous. Anyone who has install experience I would be greatful if you let me PM you with any questions/concerns I may have once I pick out what I want and go to install them.

Thanks for reading my post, as it was a kind of introduction of sorts for me onto this forum. I look forward to chatting with everyone and hope I'll be able to pull off some DYI's.

Go to DSI Mobile Electronics. They have the highest quality car audio, video, & security for good prices. They're super-cool & would probably give you advice about your tweeters. They also do a lot of really nice custom fabrication- check their photo books!
