Bad *** deal
HEH, i'm buying a 2003 RSX-S for $2,400 with 2,000 miles on it.. frame and everything except there isnt a rear of the car left but motor is fine! ;-) found out about it last night was gonna save and buy the type-r (220hp) but for that price I cant go wrong.
Question though.... can i take the front brakes from it and put them on the rear of my car?

Hows the front end of the car? If its all there and good, than you could do a RSX head light conversion.
Or you could easily part out the rest of the car getting a lot more than what you paid for it.

Well, if you dont think thats a bad *** deal that you're getting (2,400), just look at the current going price of just the engine, ecu, tranny. Here's one currently selling on ebay. Be very, very, very thankfull for the price that u got.

Haha, i was at a party last night... and one of my friends came up to me from Club SI (a club about 20 miles north of us) said he heard I was looking for a K20 and one of his friends wrecked his, that he just wanted to get rid of the car. From my understanding the car was hit on the side/rear by a tracker trailer everything from the doors up is in perfect shape. The kid already went out and got a new Accord coupe with the 6 speed in it so he just wanted to get rid of the rsx. I'm all excited - im just trying to dig up all the cash for it now ;-p

Wow, great great deal. You can part that thing out to people too. Try ClubRSX.com. I bet you'll get at least 50% of the money back that way. Props on the find!

Well, guys I went to look at the car today - I liked the shape the rear seats are damaged but if i really wanted to i could prolly fix them but from there forward everything is mint. I'm not a motor guy but my friend doing the swap is going to check out the engine tomorrow. The car started sounds great to me just doesnt have a rear on the car (wheels, axels, breaks) which kinda sucks bc i really wanted the rear brakes but hell - atleast i get a fast car out of the deal.

Use the find for what you originally intended. Put the engine and tranny in your civic. It will be faster than any type-s because it's lighter. It will also be more of a sleeper taking plenty of people by surprise. Who knows, maybe you can get one of those K20 i-vtec badges from thailand. Then you can sell off your old D17 for around $500. After that either use the other "little goodies" (like the front sway-bar and leather seats) or eBay them off to recoup expenses. If you work this oppurtunity right you'll make out like a bandit.
