I almost bought an evo 8
I went to look at the Lancer Evos yesterday. Man those cars are so sweet. I didnt get to test drive it though..dammit. After the sales guy made 4 trips back and forth from the back playing their game, he couldnt meet the payments I wanted. 
They were going to give me exactly what I owe on my civic to pay off that loan and wanted $615 a month and 3 grand down. Which I dont have 3 grand handy, but I think that here in another few months im going to go back there and try again to get one.

Sti's are ugly and I bet the EVO would beat it in a race.......but we'll have to see when it gets released. WRX's in general are fugly as hell.

Rep Power: 374 $615 a month?!?!? Thats stupid. That better be a 36 month pay. I use to sell cars, and man I'll tell you they are trying to rape you hard. $615 for 60 months it 36,900. Add your $3000 and you are looking at paying $40,000 for a car that is worth $28,000. Don't waste your time or money. Go somewhere else. They will be more than happy to offer something better.

go look at the numbers
they are all in the sti's favor
and i personally believe that the sti has a hell of alot more potential out of the box. It is a 2.5 liter opposed to the evo's 2.0. The evo runs a hell of alot of boost to make the power it does. The sti doesn't have to run all that boost and it still makes more power. Simply because it has more displacement and it is a boxer engine

Rep Power: 0 The evo is just too econobox for my taste....Kinda like a geo metro with a v8 dropped in, fast as hay but still a metro...I don't know if that makes sense..
Anyhow, I'd take the wrx over that evo any f-in day...sheeshh
Also, $615 a month for a car, much less an evo....eat mac and cheese everyday just to drive a car...LOL

Rep Power: 374 Stock for Stock, they both are very close. But once you start modding them, it no contest. The STI will come out on top. Bigger motor, running less boost with more room to go, and other little things. The first thing I noticed about the two it that the Evolution 8 has a FMIC. The Sti doesn't(unless I missed it). Upgrade the STI to a FMIC and turn the boost up to match the boost of the Evolution 8 and its all over. Game over, STI wins.
Only thing I think that sucks about the STI is that it has no radio. Thats a lot of humming and singing you have to do. And if you can't sing for shiet, you passengers are going to hate you.
