Getting power from a d17
Getting power from a d17
How could you get about 250-300hp from a d17 without a engine swap or nitrous. How much boost pressure would it take to get this power and how could you make a d17 handle high boost.

Inorder for a D17 to produce that much power without using a nitrous setup or completely swapping the engine (mmmm K20A2) you're most likely looking at Turbo setup.
Realistically, it would be a lot cheaper, more reliable, and easier to do and work with if you just went ahead and did an engine swap.
But if you wanna go Turbo and you're looking at pushing 250-300hp to the wheels you would have to strengthen your internals by swapping them out with stronger parts (ie. valves, valve springs, pistons, rods, etc... ) and then having a custom turbo made for the car.
