Body shops suck

Ok 8 weeks ago my friend drove my car and crahsed it into
a curb . I was pissed ,well his insurance is paying for the whole thing
and while my cars been in the shop ive had a chance to pick up a grip of parts.
well anyway my cars been in this body shop for 8 weeks going on the 9th week now
and the origonal estimate was 3 weeks . The body shop is called m2 collision and there
located in Rancho santa margarita . well the guy keeps giving me the run around and not telling me whats going on with my car . so what can i do to get my car out i already talked to
the insurance company and they said i cant really do anything . Anyone have any suggestions
on what i could do to speed up the process . It really suck i got all theses parts sitting in my room . Im pissed 9 weeks this is bull s**t

they already started work a long time ago but they just never seem to
do anything . It wasnt driveable when it first got in a accident but now it is so mayeb ill take it elsewhere but that will still take time anyone
know anything that i could do now

WEll if you decide to take it elsewhere you gonna have to deal with the insurance company again. If this place does good work i say leave it there and be patient the last thing you want is a rushed job and as far as part yea it sux having in there not being able to do anything but the time will come. have you tried giving the body shop a visit and seeing your car that way you know whats going on

Find out why its taking so long, if they give you the run around, speak with a manger, or the owner, bitch ALOT, but keep it cool, know what i mean? call them like every day and ask if its done, i had an issue with a shop once, so i started calling them about every 2 hours to see wtf was going on, then it was done in about a week when they said it would take like 3, even if its not drive able, have it towed to another shop, sounds like 1, they are to busy, 2 they are slackers,

ya ive been there like 3 times bit this is rediculous 9 weeks when the origonal estimate was 3 weeks i cant be patient anymore

dont ever take yer car to M2 Collision centers in RSM
unless you dont wanna have a car for a month or so

today then when 5 rolls around its never done . this has been whats happening the last 2 ro 3 weeks

in that case tell them you want you car back as is and your not paying for anything and take it somewhere else

Sadly because of the not so great drivers here, im been to the body shop many times. Whenever in doubt always remember this.

They are a buisness trying to sell you a service, YOU are incharge, not them. You are the one paying, so if you don't like the quality of the job or the buisness itself. Then take your buisness elsewhere.

Just today me and a friend went to a junk yard to find body parts for a 300ZX, we were told they had one with a blown engine but a perfect body. Its one of those overgrown outside, junkyards. We begin walking to the back towards the Z. When some guy comes out and starts bitching at us. he says "You go back there get a snake bite, sue me and i lose my buisness. You wanna shop goto the mall, you want parts you tell me what you want and ill go back there and get it." We had just drove 20 minutes to hear this sh*t. I explained to him that we had come to buy a large amount of parts. He then asked what car we were looking for. I looked him straight in the eye and said "We're going to the mall since were shopping for parts, we'll be taking our buisness elsewhere"

If you don't like the service their trying to sell you, don't buy it. The minute they think there incharge is the minute they will try to take advantage of you. Everytime my car was in the shop, i would stop by everyday after work. I would ask what they had done that day and how much longer until its done. If they said "We put a new headlight in today" Id ask if they could have done more in that day. The first time they took their dear sweet time. The second time, i let them know that i was incharge. The third time things that took 3 days the first time, took half a day this time.
