yea the lancer is turbocharged, so it probably was a reg. beat lancer.
Whats up with this racing scene that ive been seeing with all the cars having flames out the back...i understand backfire on turbo cars, but this was consistant flame.

i saw a screening of 2fast 2furious.... the flames come out when they launch, when they pass each other, and when they shift. its funny. overall, i liked the movie, but i wouldnt want to own a 2fast 2furious car.

R34 in the movie, they its not AWD..they wanted the car to drift in the movie, so u go figure what they did with that AWD. For info on cars in the movie, pick up this months issue of Sports Compact Car mag.
And about the movie and, these average joe-critics.....
Its just a movie. Its made for average movie goer, not car fanatics that will pin point every little mistake in the movie. Nobody cares if there is chrome on import or if there is too much "rice" on the car. So what ? It's just a movie, go watch it, relax, have fun. The movie is made for young people who are or are about to get into this whole culture/scene. We all did same **** when we saw Fast and Furios back in '01. Went out, but the manual cars, bought stupid neons, F40 rear wings and **** like that, bcs u saw everything in the movie. Well then down the road, you had some of your older friends let you in on a little secret, which was, "all of that is RICE maaaan". So naturally, you started thinking diff. and hooking up your ride little bit more inteligantly and tastefully. Well this summer we gonna have bunch of new rookies flying down the tollway with underbody neons, 20in chrome on a civic, f 40 rear wings, bcs they saw all that **** in the movie, and they problably dont have anybody to guide them in the right way as far as car modifications go. Just dont sit there and nod your head, acting like a smart ***, all of us where like that at some point in time. Go see a movie, have fun, we all know it's just an entertainment.
And yea, that RICE **** is really played out. It's stupid. "Your car is riced out", i mean wtf man ? Whats your then, corn'ed out ?

Rep Power: 317 Just so everyone knows, the R34 is being sold for charity, and it's not one of the de-tuned movie cars, it's the real thing. The nitrous bottles are hooked up, I think it's 750 hp, awd is still there...it's a damn nice car. And it's not silver and blue, it's blue and red (blue base, red graphics, all paint...$8,000 paint job

You're right. I also got the SCC issue, and those cars really suck. I believe the cars have like 3 nos bottles, but none of them are really hooked up to the engine....Oh well, if 2F2F is as good as the first one...I'm happy. Just like the SCC crew said: Too silly not to love.

Rep Power: 332 I'm going to see the movie just because of the illusion that there are fast cars in it. When F&F 1 came out I became a fanatic. I actually got my vic a week before I saw the movie. Go figure, next thing I know I have neons on the bottom of my car. Now I have alteezas and cleared headlights. But who really cares about what I have done to my car? Yeah I know it's rice and I get picked on a lot for my rice, but then after people know me they know that I am a performance guy too, just to broke to do much. As far as the cars in 2F2F I already own two of them. The pink s2000 and the skyline. They are both pretty fast, much faster than my 350z. Of course these are ZipZaps from Radio Shack, not the real cars.

My civic is going to be faster than that N/A.
After my swap, and some mods im going to be around 205whp easy...according to clubrsx.com...people are running 13.8s with less than that.
