HOPE SOMEONE CAN ANSWER THIS.
OK, I know alot about cars but there is one thing I dont know...hopefully someone can help. I was at the nopi nationals last year watching the races...and every time one of these huge drag civics or the toyota solarus was racing...as the driver reved it right before lauch all of a sudden you hear this loud knocking coming from the engine...almost like as if the pistons had busted thru the valve cover and started slapping the hood....WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SOUND???

Thats thier launch control rev limiter, its basicly being held at a certain RPM while the trottle is fully pressed sounds like a bunch of back fires actually.
You can get one with a MSD igniton set up, put the car in 1st, keep your foot on the clutch, press down the rev limiter button, and press on the gas and it holds it.
My friend had one in his prelude set to 4k rpms sounded nice.
The standalone im buying has a set up close to this but works in a different way.
