Quotes from Brian and Hasport

I see my name being thrown around on this thread, so let me set the record straight.

The B-series engine swap is possible with some fabrication. When comparing it to the K-series mount kit, the fabrication will be easier on the left and right mounts and harder on the rear mount.

When doing a B-series swap into a 01 or later Civic, the electronics are going to be most peoples downfall. You will have problems unless you really know your stuff. This part of the swap may wind up driving the price of the swap up. The K20 swap prices have come down dramatically, so by the time Hasport or someone else comes out with a B-series kit the price may be close with either a K engine or B engine.

When all is said and done, it will not be as easy as a K-series swap is. The K-series is actually technically easier to do than an H-series engine into a 92-00 Civic. It is about as hard as doing a B-series in an 88-91 Civic DX.

We have put our B-series mount kit on hold simply because I need another 01 Civic and haven't found a good price on a theft recovery. That and the fact taht there is greater demand for the K-series into EK and EG than B-series into EM and ES.

WCSjunior, this is for you. Having owned and driven and raced cars powered by a B-series turbo, B-series supercharged, B-series NA built, K-series NA, K-series turbo, K-series supercharged, I would have to say the K-series is better by a fair margin.
