cant decide???

So my civic got totaled a few weeks ago in the hail storm we had. To say the least i was pissed. But now i have moved on and im tring to move up to, to an rsx but here is my question. the rsx has 106hp and 141lb of torque and the type s has 200hp and 142lb of torque. should i get the type s and no mods for a wile of get an rsx and through 3 maybe 4 g's in at once. thoses of you who already own the car let me know and if you have driven both cause im gonna go this weekend let me know if that extra 40 horses and 1lb of torque if worth the extra money from the factory. Thanks holla back

dude i have the base model and i think that is fine, for this size car. 160 hp is ***** enough.. plus i dont think that the type-s for the $3k diff in price is all that worth it.... i mean you can buy simple bolt on Mods that will cost you only a fraction of the price and get you close to that 200 hp..

there is really not to much diff..

check this comparison

I personally would get the s. The base models are JUST AS NICE!!! But me personally I like the extra power. I say if you have 3 or 4K to spend, use it on a down payment on a type s and then the payments wont be killing you and youll have a little extra each month to spend on mods. All I have performance wise is an intake and exhaust and I have no problems with power at all. The base is still peppy by all means and quite a step up from the civic but I think the 24K I paid for mine with tax, tag...etc. was well worth every dime. I just wish I had soemthing to put down on it.

A base model would be better if you plan on turbo though...something with the compression or something. (dont know **** about internals...someone fill in the blank here )

Inca...how do you like it!?! Welcome to the family Let me know if you need anything!!!

Better Engine

Get the S! The RSX only has the vtec working on the intake cam, the rsx has both the intake and exhaust and hits 8000rpm + on the shifts.. which you can even take to 8500 rpm with a chip easily Plus you're getting a close ratio 6 speed. So for 3k more, it's worth it!
Yeah right, bolt on mods to give you a 200hp engine shifting @ 8000 rpm + and dropping a six speed in for less then 3K ? dream on.. been there , couldn't do that with a regular i-vtec 160hp, the S engine is the way to go I made the mistake of getting a regular RSX, sold it and got a 03 RSX S

Or, get a honda accord 240HP V6 6 speed a lot of aftermarket for that vehicle to!

ak can only hope to improve
After seeing the actual dyno #'s on the base vs S...

I'm leaning more towards the type-s
