huh? TSX replacement for TL? No... A new TL is coming for 04 supposedly. TSX a replacement for CL? Probably not given that one is a 6 cylinder coupe, the other a 4 cylinder sedan.
my g/f had a CL for a while. I thought it was a nice car, but for its size I would rather have had a TL... got the room, might as well make it useable... Of course I've got a Civic Coupe, but I bought it used and it was too good to pass up (price/condition).
My take on cars in the last year or so is kind of like this...
2 doors, might as well have 2 seats.
4 doors, a hatchback or wagon would be nice.
Of course I also don't practice what I preech

The TSX is a replacement for the extinct 4 door integra, hence all the underpinnings of a RSX which replaced the Integra coupe.
I really like the CL's it sucks that they're getting rid of them

They just started a new CL generation for 2k3 and now they axe it? I'll have to say perhaps it is because more doors = more popular when it comes to luxory cars. The only luxory coupe I imagine being the most popular (by eye around here) is the BMW 3 series. I don't think the CL is that popular, but it's still a pretty good car.
I just realized there are more new cars on the Accord chassis here in the US than the Civic now.
I doubt the TSX will live up to the CL... the CL really did get better. They finally dumped the traction control for an LSD.
Honda needs to dump the Si, but their expectations for that limited production car must be ridiculously low yet not as bad as the CL. Even if we get the Civic Type R, it's just gonna be a cheaper RSX with a Type R badge on it and better suspension. I don't see why it would sell more, but then again, Type R = Hype R, especially with the CTR.
Honda has dropped the ball in terms of their line-up with performance cars in the USDM. The CL-S 6-speed was probably their fastest FWD car out now. There is a video on KaZaA with a CL-S vs the Integra R and the CL won by a bus length.
The G35 is stiff competition. But it's also more expensive. I personally have never liked Nissans. They're headed in a good direction but if it's not a Honda, then it would have to be a Toyota, BMW, Audi, or Mercedes.
Actually, the current CL was new for 2001 (arriving in March 2000). The 03s are just facelifted and have the available 6spd.
You know Honda... 4 years, then you replace it (except for the Integra, hehe)

The one thing that is kind of putting the CL-S out to pasteur is that the G35 and 3 series are both rear drive. The 3 series has a driving feel that you can only get from rear drive. The 3 series is a small car too, but that probably doesn't matter as much to coupe buyers. Now compare a TL-S vs a 330i and sure the Bimmer drives nicer, but the TL-S is a nicer and larger car for less money.
I dunno, I guess for me I'd rather have a real sports car for performance driving and a luxury sedan for the trips/commutes.
