Rep Power: 0 What do you all think of the 6spd CL Type 6
I just recently started looking at this car. They look pretty good and make decent power. Also I've heard the 6spd is very smooth.
Yes it's heavy and FWD but it seems to do a good job of integrating luxury and a little sport.
Here are some specs:
Engine Type-Aluminum Alloy 24-Valve, V-6, SOHC, VTEC(TM)
Displacement (liters)-3.2
Horsepower (SAE net)-260 bhp @ 6100 rpm
Torque-232 lbs-ft @ 3500-5500 rpm
Redline 6900 rpm
Compression Ratio 10.5:1
It also comes with 17 inch rims, perforated leather, power everything and if you want GPS. Total price is $33,200.
Only about $4,000 more than an Accord Coupe with the aero kit. Plus I think the Acura looks much better than the Accord coupe.

Rep Power: 0 I was actually looking at those (used of course) before I got my Civic. I test drove an auto and it was pretty nice. Keep in mind that that body style will only be around for another year or two.
I would take the new 240 HP Accord coupe over it....When they come out with a stick. The Acura is going to look dated soon IMO...

Rep Power: 0 Yeah I don't have the money for it now, but I constantly look around. I think it's a very nice car for the money. Hell, Edmunds says you can get them for $3k off MSRP, but I don't know about that.

Rep Power: 380 yea, my dad has the 3.2 tl type s 5 speed auto... i love that car sooo much... i once raced a stock 5 speed 2001 GT and both cars stayed the same. good thing i picked it for him, so i could drive it every once in a while...muahahaha...
you could go 120 mph and it will feel like you are going 30 mph in our civics. the ride is soo nice...
if it was my car i would have some chromed 20's, dropped, a powerful system and some performance products like intake, exhaust, turbo, nitrous...

Rep Power: 295 Personally, I would go for the TL Type-S, but that's just me 'cause I'm a sedan guy. The only prob is that they don't make the TL-S w/ the 6 speed.

Rep Power: 294 i second (or is it third?) the G35 coupe idea. 280hp, RWD, 6 speed manny, what a nice car. car starts at $29k, and goes to $35k or so loaded, not bad at all.

Rep Power: 0 The CL-S is a nice car. Well built, solid, and basically has everything one could want. Its a great car for everyday driving in the real world. My G/F had an automatic 2001 for a while She traded it for a 3 series sedan, and found the 3 series to be TONS more fun to drive, even though it was only a 325 and had less power.
The S2000 is pure sports car. No real comfort to speak of. I had one while she had the CL-S.
I think the CL-S is a great value too, given that a comparable BMW or G35 would cost more. But, the G35 and BMW would both drive more "sporty".
Of course, as I've found, driving in traffic everyday means you really can't drive "sporty". its why I've got a Civic... finish school and and have a cheap to operate car. Once I've got a job, I'll look at moving up in price/performance.

Rep Power: 0 i'd take the g35 coupe over that any day. i'd probably take it over an s2000 just because i need more than 2 seats most of the time. that, and i'm moving away from the honda family a.s.a.p. for a number of reasons.

Rep Power: 0 The CL-S compares to the BMW 3 series and the Audi A6. That's quite the comparison... FWD, RWD and AWD luxory cars.
2k3 CL-S comes with an LSD to replace the traction control system. If I were to get the CL-S, definitely the 2003. The LSD was well deserved.
