you could probably have a back up battery just incase it goes dead, but what are the chances of your batteries dying anytime soon. just replace it when it gets low

i want to get the door poppers and make people go woah, but i don't want to spend the $$ to shave my handles. how much would it cost for me to get the poppers and have them installed? i know there are some that are designed for occasional use, but i want the ones that are for daily use. anybody have a list of parts that i would need to order to make them work? any help is appreciated.

it doesn't cost much to get your doors shaved, only $100 per door plus paint. and 100 for the poppers... one good company that makes poppers is autoloc, get the 50lb one and it should last you a long time

sorry for the late post, but where do i find the 50lb poppers for $100. on autoloc's site their kit with remote is $300. i don't want to spend that kind of money. $100 is a good price for me, but i have yet to find them for that price.

i can tell you from first hand. i did this to my ride. i have a 4 button remote control, utitlizing an ARM button, DRIVERS DOOR POPPER, PASSENGERS DOOR POPPER, and the fourth button being unused at the moment. just for starters.... i locked my keys in my car twice in the first week i had my car out of the body shop. the first time of which being in the first 3 hours of having my car back from that shop. OMG...it was a nitemare. especially cuz both times i left my ignition on with my stereo bumpin, as well as my cell phone in my car. AAA Card came in handy both times! its more of a hassle to me now than anything. people even look at me wierd when i say i have SHAVED DOOR HANDLES. but on the other hand, it does look a lot cleaner, and it does get a lot of compliments. to each his own...right? g'luck with ur decision. BTW... this has had nothin related to my problems of lockin myself out of the car, but i used TRUNK POPPERS for my door poppers and they work great! havent had any problems, and they cost 1/10 of the price of a DOOR POPPER KIT.

they are worth it, if you plan on doing show for your car. They fill in the handle area with another piece of metal and they weld that over it, then smooth it out. You get a lil remote that controls soenoids you put in the doors. I've heard that they aren't really good. But its up to you, your car
