Civics are better off for show especially 7th gen and the 6th gen coupes (6th gen si = ). Who cares if people don't like the "all show, no go" plan... I'd rather drive my good looking (and slow) 7th gen, than drive a fast (and hideous) Neon.

Looks at these cars:

Now tell me. Which one would you choose? (yes I know the 7th gen has a factory kit and is all dressed up. But it only goes to show, our cars can look even better than it does when stock. See that Echo? it's got a factory kit as well, but does it even make it look any better?)

Why does everyone only like to drive in a straight line?
Try autocross; much funner and our Civics actually do quite well in it.
You spend most of your time in 2nd and 3rd, and we actually have pretty good gearing there.
I love corners. That's why most of my modifications have been suspension mods so far.

Anyway, forced induction will blow away an RSX Type-S at 8psi. That might be something you could look into.

It's all in good fun. It could be a hobby to those who don't collect stamps or baseball cards.

LoL. the protege isn't really in the 7th Gen's league now is it? I might as well have put a picture of Lancer, Eclipse, Celica, and RSX, with the way you're thinking. Civics were'nt made to hold the slightly more power that these other cars are manufactured to hold at stock form.

Sure they're in the same league. Both are econo boxes.
Both around the same price.
The corolla, protege, lancer, focus, civic are in the same category - econo cars under $20k.

i'm gonna go with grey on this one. i love driving up sepulveda blvd. in my car. the turns are so smooth and i can manage to take the whole hill between 30 and 45 mph. the limiting factor for that is not speed, but handling. maybe if i ever get my car back i'll just invest in more suspension work.

Because staight lines are easier to find. Just go to any stop light. People usually don't pull up to another car and say, "Hey, you wanna race around the block. FIrst person back to this point wins!"

There is not a single auto-x track that I know of down here. We have plenty of drag strips though.

"Funner" .........lol sorry that's just funny.

Hmm... I guess I just don't look at it as a vs. thing. I just like to drive. Whatever, wherever. Any condition. I like to control and drive on the egde. I also like doing stupid s**t like burn-outs, 180's, tail slides, 360's, hard braking, brake sliding, fast lane switching, driving as close as possible to the yellow line on a highway, taking the shortest route possible on the highway (cutting corners), etc.

Yeah fun.

Master.....
Motocross looks so awesome, I'm waiting for the mazda speed site to fix the registration portion, I'ma sign up. I race in straight lines against other poeple, but when it's just me and the road, I have fun, over speeding corners, understeer, ah.... Can't wait...
I got i/e and coilovers, struts, pulleys and headers are next for me.....

I love taken corners, everyone freaks and talk s**t like ima lose my rims and all, I been doin it since the day I got in my first car, I think the 91 mustangs are rwd, i think, that was my first car, I had fun with that...

Motos and corners are awesome, I love it when poeple tell me to turn around.

Dragin is kewl, very fun, and appeasing, but takin corners and driven fast through traffic, ah.. my first love...
