I can't remember, but it was 120mph or 125mph. Talked about this topic countless times.
edit: I've taken my 02 LX auto up to 117mph. Well i guess the governor is there for a reason.

this is like the weekly question it seems.
Anyways, ive taken my car to where it read 135,6, or 7mph...but i have 17inch rims on my car, so there is roughly a 4% difference on that which would put it a little above 140mph.
Cheers~

I've only had the opprotunit once to see how fast my car would go. 02 EX w/ CAI and cat-back exhaust. I went up to 110MPH. The only reason I only went that fast was because I had another person in the car and I ran out of straight road. The road started to curve so I had to slow down.
I find it kind of odd that all of your govenors cuts on at different times. I honestly cant see a 7th gen civic going over 130mph when a 6th gen cuts at 120mph. I mean if this is so you guys must be driving for like 5 mins or more to get over that speed. I damn sure dont know what guage that guy was looking at when they sat 140mph.

These threads go on and on and on. Do a search for top speed in general ramblings or street encounters, and you'll find what you're looking for. There are a LOT of threads on this. To be honest, it doesn't seem there is a definite answer to the question.
