Nope. I really wanted the ABS, side airbags (which we could only find on the EX), the sunroof, the bigger wheels, keyless entry, CD player (even though i upgraded it was nice to have for about 6 months), the biggest engine possible, and all the other goodies (colored mirrors and doorhandles).

The sunroof is a must. Plus the color matched mirrors and doorhandles. And, the most important, the VTEC is a must have. That's where you get the power.

Not a single regret. Moonroof, ABS, alloy rims, VTEC, +12 HP, color-matched door handles + mirrors, front sway bar (which 2001 LX didn't have), heated side mirrors (on my Canadian model), 6 speakers. I don't think there has been a single day where I did not use my moonroof (especially the tilt feature).

The EX is more than worth the extra dough... a bargain in fact.

I'm glad i got my LX over the EX cause I didn't want the sunroof or ABS. It is pretty cheap for what you get if you want those features. I'm happy with my LX, it has side airbags and Idon't plan i keeping that engine in there anyhow, and i replaced the wheels and CD player, all I need to do is get the mirrors and door handles painted and a rear sway bar....i'll be all set

but the moonroof only comes with the EX so hey...

plus its fastest... so yeah...

I love sunroofs. ABS doesn't hurt either. I didn't want to have to do immediate audio work, so the std cd player isn't a bad thing.

Any civic definately EX. More supporting mods, more features stock. Most have been mentioned. I actually like the stock sound system on my EX.

Nope don't regret it at all.

I doesn't always have to be how much faster a car is, that makes it better, i mean its a Civic [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG] I'd much rather have creature comforts than speed in a car like this. And of course there are always swaps if you want to make it faster.

I really don't see the point in buying a lower model if your buying a new car. There are exceptions, like if you need a auto car and the high model doesn't come with one (RSX-S) But i mean whats a couple extra bucks?

I know the VTEC in an ex doesn't deliver much power... but I still like having it - and being able to say I have it. The sunroof is what really did it for me, and the fact that the interior for Red was the dark interior. I love having the 6 speaker set-up (tweeters added). The only thing I want to do to change my stock ex to lx is take off the armrest and throw some seat-covers on there. I haven't been able to find seatcovers to fit our civic's seats...

Plus I got my ex for a lil less than my friend who bought an LX and I had spoiler added, tinting done at dealer, and pinstripe removed.

Another thing I'm happy about is that I got a manual transmission (my last car was auto). I enjoy my car much more now just for daily driving and I can definitely feel the power more than my last civic...

I love my EX for the reasons everyone listed. But one of you said you didn't want the sunroof or ABS. I can understand why you wouldn't the sunroof for head room or is not used, but the ABS??? ABS is a safety feature that is almost every car above our price range. Some times I think it should start becoming a mandatory thing like how airbags are starting to be. You wouldn't need airbags as much if you had good brakes...haha. I'm not saying ABS provides better braking to all drivers, because I know it's just a means of pumping your brake electronically, but are you going to really pump your brakes when your about to slam into another car??? haha.
