JDM K20a Engine Swap (higher octane req'd?)
I just wanted to do that as a title, before I get flamed for the swap title. I searched but couldn't find anything on having to use higher octane(100+) fuel in this engine. I heard somewhere that it would need that to even run. Does anyone know if it's true. Please shed some light on this. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that premium in your area would work. Here in the united states we take the average of research and motor octane, which gives a fuel's octane rating. I'm pretty sure that in japan they rate it only by one or the other, which is usually a much higher number than the average we use.

I think you only need to worry about running higher octane if you are getting the Type R engine. The S should be same as any rsx in the states.
OK, ive posted bout this before... IT IS NOT 100 OCTANE........ the US equivlant is like 94/95 octane...... you can use 93 in the engien and it runs fine... as we are now.. but we will run 93 plus octane booster when needed in the swap car. any more Q's? email me please

I was referring to the Integra type R(k20a) not the RSX type S(K20a2) But I checked out those links and thanks MugenRacerX
