Insurance

Has anyone had any had any issues with insurance and parts that you put on. Like if you get in an accident does your insurance cover it or do you have to tell the insurance company that you want it covered along with the parts that you put on (mainly thinking about body kit as most of the other parts other than maybe sway bars) and how much more it cost you?

As far as I know, you need to give them a copy of the receipt in order to have them cover the parts...but they also adjust your premium and rate accordingly...so it all depends on how much you want to be covered for, and at what level are you willing to disclose information on modification done to your car...I don't know if it effects their judgement on if you ever (God forbid) have to file a claim, but I don't know if the claims agent would take into consideration performance parts put on a car...someone else would have to answer that one...Hope that helps!

I called the insurance company and they told me I just have to provide my receipts and they would cover it.
Now I just need to make sure I have the receipts.
