alright people check this out, this is what i heard , i was going to change my steering wheel for a nice billet flame wheel like i have on my truck, but anyway i heard if i was to change the steering wheel that i wont pass n.y state inspection, something about that you cant take a safety feature off a car,, wich i can understand but common here, think i just might move someplace that doesnt need and inspection.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, I read somewhere that it is illegal to remove a working safety device. However, if the airbag no longer works, you might be able to get away with it. I have decided that if I ever get into an accident and the airbags deploy, I'm going to have a S2000 steering wheel installed instead of just getting new airbags (if it can really be done.) It's a three-spoke wheel and it's smaller, plus I think it would look kewl.
UHM dude ... im 21 .. iv lived in NY all my life... please use some common sense when u post something.... OUR inspection is what.. once a year.. not once a week 
so switch ur steerin wheel to the one you want ... and when you go to get it inspected just switch them back... OR you can do what everyone ELSE does in our CROOKED state and slip the guy a 20 to make ur **** pass... I MEAN DAMN... no street smarts in ur head... lol i pulled that crap when i bought my first car and the tires were all BALLED... the inspection guy was like... 'YOUR NOT PASSING INSPECTION WITH THOSE TIRES', i smiled .. gave him a 20 ... he looked back up and me and was like ... ' make sure u replace those tires when u get a chance, heres ur inspection sticker' THANK YOU [IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG]
