is it worth it? Honda Dealership is charging 139.95

- rotate tires: check inflation and condition
- inspect tie-rod ends, stearing gearbox and boots
- insepct suspension components

- clean air cleaner element as needed
- check parking break adjustment
- lube all locks and hinges
- clean antenna (if applicable)
- inspect brake hoses and lines, clean and lube caliper slides

Not worth it IMO...They really don't do all that they say they do

I just changed the oil(dealer)...air filter(DIY)...cabin filters(DIY)=$60.00...rotation(discount tire)=FREE

I'm going to have them do that stuff @ 30K...maybe

15k = oil change + tire rotation. Not worth $130. Do the oil change yourself or go to Jiffy Lube, and America's Tire/Discount Tire will do free tire rotations. Unless you've been driving really really hard, at 15k your brakes should be fine.

Ok, you can do almost all that yourself in less than a minute, absolutely free.

Put the key in the ignition and turn it to position 3.
Now, look at what your milage says. If it's anything less than "100'000" then pretty much everything on that list will be fine. You're driving a Honda!!

But it would be a good idea to get your oil & filter changed, and that should only be about $20
the rest you don't need, except maybe rotating the tires, and that can easilly be done at any tire store for .. well free, or not much more than that. And usually when you have your oil changed the dealer will top off the fluids anyways. Depending on the dealer that is.

Anyways, that's just my thoughts on it - it doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

Yeah I got that 15K maint. thing in the mail I only have 13k on my car though and I just got my oil changed today. But yeah I wouldn't pay that much just rotate and check the filters possibly and get the oil done maybe if you are due

When I was a mechanic we did all of the things listed, except for the rotation, when we did oil changes. I like how Honda says, "inspect and CLEAN air filter as nessesary", all of those things should be "inspected" when you have your oil changed at any decent garage.

Doing it yourself will not void the warrenty, but, make sure you keep a dated log and reciepts of all your maintance, just incase you have a problem in the future. I bought a small day planner at Office Depot and keep it in my glove box, I have all of the maintance done by me and Honda written down.

An excellent tip... I do this too. I write dates and what I did, what supplies were used, etc... In the Notes section of the owners manual (the last few blank pages). This way I know what I did, when I did it, and what was used.
And of course, keep all your dealer reciepts.

All you need to do is the oil changes at regular intervals. And have the trans fluid, brake fluid, etc., changed when the manual says too.

There is no reason to the services as a whole like the 15k service. They basically do an oil change and look the car over. YOu pay $100 bucks for nothing basically.

Keep all receipts. Honda dealer receipts are best imo.
