Question about paddle shifters

I was just wondering if when you turn the wheel, if the paddle shifters turn with the wheel, of if they're attached to the steering wheel base and don't turn with the wheel.

In other words, can you shift while the wheel is turned?

I do believe they turn with the steering wheel.

What would be required to change from stock to paddle shifters? That would be awesome. Someone should make a kit!

Well firstly you would need a tiptronic shifting system

And yes you can shift while turning that would suck for F1 drivers if you couldn't shift during turns

Some of them do, some of them don't. I know for sure the Ferrari paddles are on the column and do not turn with the wheel, but the ones in the F1 cars do turn. Some of the others are attached to the wheel.

well, if someone dropped an K20A2/3 engine in a 7thgen they could put the RSX's Tiptronic 5spd auto in and maybe make it use paddle shifters. that'd be pretty cool

Is there anyway to go into neutral with only the paddles?

Probably downshift from 1, but why would you need to?
