What kind of deals did you guys get on your Civics?
What kind of deals did you guys get on your Civics?
I just bought this one. 2002 5 spd EX with 8100 miles for $12,900, $13,700 after shipping. Think I got a pretty good deal? How much did you guys pay for yours (new or used)?
I bought my 2001 EX 5spd in Nov of 2000 around the time when they came out. They were asking just under $18,000. I walked off the lot with the car for $14,250 with only the 12 miles that I put on it when I test drove it.
I put down a car and 2 grand in cash and financed $12,900 over 5 years @ 5.9 for my 2001 LX. You could say that sucks but I think I screwed them with the car I traded in... I just wanted to get rid of that car, the loan on that car sucked...borrowed only 3 grand but the loan was still 3 grand after 2 years of paying for it... It was screwed up. Also, the car had massive problems..
Damn runaway! I can't believe that. Was the APR like 75% or something? lol. Slammed u got a badass deal. I think I did pretty good. Now I just gotta wait for the car to get here! Should be here around next Friday. It's going to seem like forever!
1st thing to buying a car is knowing the dealer invoice price! By far and away the #1 thing. When they know that you know how much they pay for the car then YOU have the advantage
go to autotrader.com they'll tell you all the dealer prices and even dealer prices on all options. ANYWAYS...
I drove to the dealership, found a black ex, manny(car i was looking for), saw the sticker price, knew what the dealer price was, walked inside, walked up to 3 sales men standing around, and said...no joke "How would someone like $300???" Of course that got the attention of all 3 men and they asked what i meant. I said, "well you have a car on the lot that i want, i know how much you guys pay for it, and i'll give you $300 more than that, no questions no hassle."
Needless to say i walked out of the dealership with a brand new car, exactally what i wanted, with a very quick transaction, a smile on my face, a smile on the salesman's face, a free lunch at a nice local restaurant for me and my buddy, and oh yea...THEY LET ME DRIVE AN S2000 FOR ABOUT AN HOUR WHILE THEY DID THE PAPERWORK!!!

I think I got the best deal ever. Brand New Honda Civic DX Coupe in Satin Silver for $10,800. No A/C, AM/FM radio. I paid it off cash right on the spot. I think it was some clearance sale (and me bitching to the 'manager' to bring the price down.) and they only had two more DX's left. A week after I bought it, I got the A/C, it was summer. I put it in myself and had a friend charge it for me. I work at circuit city, so the sound system didnt bother me. Yay for me...

i only got a $1000 for the Mazda, it was a POS, i was glad the dealership took it, the car needed tons of repairs. i think at the end, i got a good deal.
