2003 ELEMENT
I went to the Honda Dealer on Saturday to get a price on what my car would be if I traded it in. My friend whos the sales guy told me they would give me $11,000. for it. I think that isnt that bad for a 2001 honda civic ex coupe with 5 speed and 19,500 miles.
Anyway, While standing in the showroom, I got to take a look at the new honda Element. I gotta say when I saw it on the internet I was having mixed emotions about it,
but now that I have seen the truck/car in person I gotta say it is really sweet looking. All four doors open, and there is a ton of interior space, plenty of head room, no carpet on the floor which makes for easy cleaning, a really cool sunroof in the back of the van but only offered on the 4wd versions. The one in the showroom was a DX with 4wd in black. It had no a/c and no radio but it did have an automatic and sunroof. The sticker was $18,600. My friend ordered one for his wife in orange, EX 4wd. I dont know why he got orange, but everyone has their own taste. He is going to put Dubs on it. Hes crazy....lol.
I gotta say the coolest thing about the truck is the way the seats fold in the back. In a normal mini van style truck the seats fold down, in the element they fold down and too the side. The seats are right up agains the side rear windows. They will leave you with plenty of room for cargo.
My girlfriend wants to break her lease on her 2k2 ex coupe and get one of these now, I wish I could afford one I would be all over it.
Has anyone seen one in person yet? What are your opinions on the element??

It is a plastic surface on the floor. from right behind the front seats to the end of the car is completely flat. Basically if you took a hose to the car (besides the front dash) it would withstand the cleaning. It is built really solidly. I like it.
I saw a white one this weekend, unmistakable on the road, i love these things. headlights could be a little bigger, but whatever. i'd really like to have their DJ version, i'm sure you all have seen it, the red one with Turntables in the back. that would be sweet.

I'd get one if I was a little older. That truck/van/suv? would be great on long trips with a bunch of friends and family. I saw the commercial for the Honda Element and im not too fond of the exterior but its starting to grow on me non the less.

I like it alot aswell, the only thing is i dont like the 2 tone ext. I would really like it if it came in all black or something like that, even though the grey panels are supposed to be scratch resistants. i saw one in person and the ext. side panels were scratched up alittle, But i think it looks like a mini hummer.
I saw 2 in person on saturday up in Bellefontaine/Marysville Ohio. They both had 'MFG' (Manufacturers) tags on them. They were program cars, honda execs were driving them.. there is a honda plant in marysville where they make accords, and in west liberty where I believe they make the CR-V's...
Anywho saw a red one and a gray one, very nice.. they are growing on me..
The one I saw at walmart up there, I was staring at it from my civic and the guy asked if i was a honda fan.. of course I am, he let me look inside at it... it is really growin on me too.. if I had the $$$ i'd buy one even tho my fiancee thinks they look like miniature 'Brinks' armored trucks or like little panel vans they use for ice cream trucks.

I saw one at the dealer still don't care for them I would rather have a SUV and if it had to be a honda I say Pilot all the way
I just like my cars with all painted metal on them never have liked the Aztec theme that is going around right now.
But yeah if it fits your lifestyle I say go for it
, it is unique I hope it sells better then the SI
