anyway, the title was a damn joke that most of you got. i initially named it "my vtech broke on my lx but knew that some of you would take that way too seriously.
all i said was taht my car smells like shit when it gets to around 5500 rpms. i've never redlined my car so i dont think its that. i seldomly get it to 6.5k rpms. it only gets up there when im passing someone on the road. ill have honda look at it next week when i take it in. thanks dudes!

Someone else had a nasty burning smell when they got going fast. And they fixed it by filling up their tires with air. They had lost a lot of air pressure, but no more bad smell.
Hey man... with our cars, its hard to tell when vtec kicks in cause it realy feels like it just isnt there, so how owuld you know its VTEC? Unless you know the RPM at whch it kicks in (which through months of surfing on this forum, i havent found a definite answer, everyone has a different RPM in his opinion) Anyway I think it has not so much to do with VTEC, but the fact that your revving hard and things tend to get hot and smell funny when you race your engine like FlyRacer said..
