Has anyone actually tried the DIY throttle cable adjustment??? Please tell me if it is worth doing or a complete waste of time.

Rep Power: 0 Some members have done it but IMO, i don't think it's too useful. For one, if you don't do it correct, you'll screw up the idle on your car. Two, it won't make too much of a difference

Rep Power: 0 I'm not an expert..but I would think that once the slack was takin up..meaning after you depress the peddle more than say a half inch and take up what little slack there is...this mod would be useless. I might give you a nanosecond faster launch time...and even that I would think would only really be felt in an automatic. Again I'm not an expert But I would be willing to bet.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, it won't give you any more power.....just better throttle response.
It only takes about 2 or 3 minutes so it won't be that much of a waste of time...

Rep Power: 341 The DIY throttle cable was the first technical thing I did to my car (coz I had no money) and it just takes a lot of the play out of the accelerator pedal. Before this, you had to push down quite a bit to get any response, now you get instant response (even though the response is depressing!) If you have an auto, its worth your five minutes. But I doubt it'd do much good for a manual.
