Some members have done it but IMO, i don't think it's too useful. For one, if you don't do it correct, you'll screw up the idle on your car. Two, it won't make too much of a difference

I'm not an expert..but I would think that once the slack was takin up..meaning after you depress the peddle more than say a half inch and take up what little slack there is...this mod would be useless. I might give you a nanosecond faster launch time...and even that I would think would only really be felt in an automatic. Again I'm not an expert But I would be willing to bet.

it gives more throttle response because the factory adjustment has a little play on the accelarator

Yeah, it won't give you any more power.....just better throttle response.
It only takes about 2 or 3 minutes so it won't be that much of a waste of time...

The DIY throttle cable was the first technical thing I did to my car (coz I had no money) and it just takes a lot of the play out of the accelerator pedal. Before this, you had to push down quite a bit to get any response, now you get instant response (even though the response is depressing!) If you have an auto, its worth your five minutes. But I doubt it'd do much good for a manual.

as far as i know, this diy is useless cause the cable will eventually return to normal.

Yeah, I think it's def. worth doing.

You really can feel a big difference in the response on the Auto.
