I got an auto because my dad bought the car. I wanted a manual. I can drive one but since i don't do it very often i might would choke a couple of times in 5 o'clock rush hour traffic. But the main reason i just went along with my dad is because he told me "son, you're in college, if you get a a manual i know how you'll drive it and i know you don't have enough money to buy a new clutch when you burn it out because this is all im doing for this car."

So basically I got owned by my dad. I wish i had a manual to play around with sometimes, but im just as happy with stepping on the gas and going.....plus the manual shifter gets in the way of road head

Replacing a clutch is so much cheaper than replacing a slipping auto tranny. In three Fords that my family owned, the auto tranny sucked and slipped or leaked constantly. I don't claim to be an expert, but from where i see it, MT's dont break as often and are cheaper to repair. I like the feeling of being able to control my car and not having the push the gas down to make it downshift. And Fraga, have your girl shift for ya while you hold her bewbie!!
