my conversation with a mindless sheep
I had a conversation with a guy today who came into my work. He's a friend of someone I work with, and we always talk about cars. He got on the topic of my S2000, and brought up the 350Z....
Him: yeah man, my girl's brother has a 350Z.
Me: does he live around here? I'd love to meet him and make a friendly run with him sometime.
Him: why would he bother racing you? 350Z's are wayyyy f'in faster man.
Me: uhhh.... so which mag told you that? car and drivel?
Him: Naw, but he went to the street races and beat a Honda 2000 (fast and furious flashback) by like 10 car lengths.
Me: Congratulations.... but he'll have a much harder time with me. And when did he go to the street races? I thought you said he just got the car?
Him: uh yeah, he went like last weekend. (right... cuz people street race in the snow in wisconsin and in 10 degree weather.
)
At this point, the guy I work with (moron's friend) interjects and tells him that an S2k is an even match with a 350Z. In fact, shortly we'll have some video, because I'm meeting up with a modded GTP and a 350Z from illinois to make some runs.
Now it gets better...
Me: So I suppose next you'll tell me how awesome the SRT-4 is and how much quicker it is than my car.
Him: You mean the turbo neon? Well you know, it did run a 14.2 and your S2k ran a 14.9.
Me: Ah, so it is car and drivel that you base all of your knowledge on. I suppose you have NOS in your car too.... did you like the fast and the furious?
Him: No I don't got nos yet, but yeah, the fast and furious was awesome... i can't wait to see that next one. it's gonna be ****.
****? who the fiznuck calls something "****"???
Anyways, our conversation finished with me asking him about his accord. It looks like a clown car. It's yellow and orange and silver and black and green. All over the entire car. And he has those really crappy looking altezzas... like 1st gen altezzas or something. And he recently visited the airport to purchase a wing. I didn't say anything to his face about his car, but it took all I could to hold it in. Whatever floats your boat, and makes everyone else laugh is just fine with me.

Rep Power: 0 Hey s2000man, im pretty sure you know i just picked up my 350z last week. I also think that your not too far from me down in the chicago burbs area (your up near milwaukee, right?). Gimme a few months to get my car broken in and then in the springtime we could arrange to meet up halfway, like in the gurnee area and head out into town onto one of the bumble*uck back roads out there and play around a bit. Not too keen about pushing my car as hard as i can but go have some fun and see how they compare on real road conditions? Im pretty sure plenty of guys would meet up to hang out and see how the 2 compare. Dont take this as my offering any kind of challenge, but i would love to see what kind of limits i can puch my car to with someone who knows the limits of their car.
BTW - dont know about you, but im really getting tired of this 350Z vs. S2K Bullsheit. I bought my Z because ive been waiting forever to own my very own Z car, has nothing to do with competition, end of story.

It happens in the first scene where cartman gets money for his tooth and he is talking to his friends he says "Yeah, this is so ****!"
It gets referred back to a couple of other times in the episode also.
