well i emailed them and they said that there is only a 30 day warrenty. i sent the coil to them and they said that they couldn't do anything. I bought this from Moocow, and they where brand new, he never used them on his car because he sold his car.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your email.
We did receive your coils and saw the cracking from the base of the cylinder.
When you purchased the coils, was this coil already like that or was it in
good condition?

I spoke to our sales manager and he informed me since you bought it from
another person we cannot
replace it for free, and our policy on our invoices state the 30day
warranty on these coils.

The options now are to either send the coil back to you, or you can
purchase 1 Plasma Direct Coil
for the Honda Civic. Cost for the new coil will be $120.24.

Please let me know as soon as possible for the coils so that we can order
them and have time to modify them.

when i got them, they all where perfectly brand new, they all looked the same way. all the rest of the ignition coils are still in perfect condition. that is the only one that went bad. now if only one of the coils went bad, wouldn't be covered under some warrenty because there was a defect in the workmanship if all the rest are good. that coil light turned on and must mean it was working. there was a problem on how it was made, or put together.

if this was the case i think i should get a free replacement or at least a discount because the coil was defective

Yes it was a manufacturer's defect, however, our warranty only covers
30days from purchase, of the original buyer.
I know this is something that you did not want to hear, however, that is
our policy and I need to abide by it.

Please instruct me on what you would like to do next with the coils. I
forgot to mention also that the coil is a little faulty
inside. Did you know if the original owner of the coils drop them
mishandled them by chance?

i don't know exactly what to do, i would get another coil but i don't really have that much money since it is christmas and everything.
and he states that it was a manufactures warrentie, "Yes it was a manufacturer's defect"

i think it sounds like they are gonna be **** about the issue, so maybe you are gonna just have to pay them to get a replacement coil

the best thing to do from the start is not have mentioned that you werent the original owner, cause most warranties state they are only good if you are the original owner. i know that doesnt help you now though...hmm, maybe you could get the person you bought them from to call them and bitch at em, since hes the original owner[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

first off...raise hell...email them back and explain that you are EXTREMLY disapointed, and extremly upset with the company.

then bitch and moan some more until you get your way.

Should have said you got them as a gift. That always works.

dont buy these ignition coils from them they dont last long,atleast one of them wont.one of my coils went bad and the car ran like sh*t.i sent it back and they gave me a new one.after one month another one went bad.this time i put my stock ones back on and put the aftermarket ones on the shelf.$100+ to replace a defective one.

Buy another set of coils... under a friend's name or something.... 15 days later... return them but swap the broken one with a good one.... just claim that you weren't satisfied with performance... etc.

Score!!! Brand new coil for free!!

I think you are going to have to bite the bullet on this one, but dont freak out at them because it will get you no where. I think I would try and work a deal with them for a discount or even free shiiping, something is better than nothing.

Something interesting came out of this.

Aha! They buy OEM coils and modify them. I think I'll take out my coils one of these days and try to figure out what they do to make them "better".

it'll be funny if all they do is slap on those LED lights and call it a modified coil that works better.. heh.

edit: btw I may try the method of buying another coil with friend's name or what not.. and send it back...

but they might know it. heh. so I duno.

where am i going to get 500 dollars, am i just going to magicly pull it out of my ***..... well i have an idea. i'll let you guys know what it is after the fact.
