Warranty Question

The throw out bearing in my 02 Civic EX seems to be going bad. This morning after I dropped it off I got a call from the dealer telling me that they are going to look at it, but if the determine that its normal wear and tear it would not be covered under warranty. Has anyone had an experiences with a throw out bearing being under warranty? I wouldn't understand why it wouldn't be covered. I can't exactly think of a way to be hard on a release bearing. It seems obvious that its a defect.

I had this problem. I bought my car back in Nov of 2000 and my throw out bearing went this past summer. It was completely covered under warranty.

Make a huge scene. Make a big deal. Yell if you have to. Eventually, almost any business will cave in just to shut you up.

I'm hoping it was just the service guy givng me a general heads up. I guess a lot of people go in there with worn out brakes/clutch/tires and expect it to be covered under warranty. For all I know the guy doesn't even know what a throw out bearing is. Thanks for the replies.

at the top of the forum (not the top of the page) where the drop down menu is that allows you to select which forum you want to view. Right there is a button that says "new topic" click that button
