Rep Power: 304 Blocking road noise
Hey all....i'm trying to decide if I should invest in Dynamat TACMat material for my floor....does anyone have experience with how well it deadens road noise? Also was thinking of the hoodliner to cancel engine noise...is it worth it?

Rep Power: 302 It really works. I have the dynamat extreme. You need to seal it though not just a little bit. Do a lot in the trunk! +10 rolls for subwoofer systems. Take the side panels out where the back seats are and do those, along with your front foors, if you have a coupe. If you have a sedan, definately doors first.

Rep Power: 344 seems quite expensive.
dynamat that is. they're also heavy. they're sooo expensive. IMO, fatmat (the ones being advertised here, are the same deal for cheaper price)
although, an alternative is this sound deadening thing that I found thats like 5-6 bucks per 10inch x 9inch thats supposely twice the dampening power of asphalt based sound deadening, and half the weight... the 10x9 sheet above is about 4.3 oz. (4 of them is about 1 lb)
I'm going to cover my trunk with them later. I'll let u know how they are. I'm thinking about purchasing a large quantity of them to sell if they work out okay... the pricing seems fair.
I got a feeling all these work though... u just gotta find the best price...
other ones to look at is: brown bread... I heard thats good too.
but yeah. heavy stuff dude. heh.

I have FatMat almost all over now. It is great. No more rattles and my system pounds harder than ever before. I have it doubled on the doors and quarters. They have liquid form, hood liner that doesn't reflect heat back into the engine compartment like all the others, an 80mil version of FatMat (regular is 45mil) floor liner and more on the way.
Stay tuned for <font color=white style="background-color: 3E3E3E;">FREE</font ft> giveaways of the FatMat product coming soon!

Rep Power: 302 well, u got any buddies that work at best buy? its very easy to get hooked up, they dont track dynamat, especially if it's paid by cash. I may eventually consider helping people out but then there's shipping, pain in the ***. Grab someone you know who works at best buy or circuit city, they'll most likely hook you up

Rep Power: 0 Sick of PM's!!!! make it stop!! lol
Here:
okay..buy 250 or so sq.ft of sound deading mat (brown bread, Fatmat, or Raam60) deaden the floor in 1 layer, the firewall with 2 roof with 1, doors sidepanels and trunk(lid and floor) with 2 layers...use any extra on the firewall and the plastic inside the door(not necessary but helps a bit)..the buy 39 sq.ft fof B-Quiet L-Comp or cascade audio's equivalent.. and put 1 layer in each door, 1 layer on the firewall..and whatevers left under the rear seat and at the the angle where your heels would would kick if you were sitting in back... then buy 2 B-Quiet..or dynamat hodliners... 1 for your hood.. 1 for your roof....
Make sure to take care of all rattles while you have the interior stripped..this costs about $500us and takes 3-4 days...
PM for addition details *if* needed
