Civic interior vs Accord, RSX, and Corolla

One nice thing about the Civic is the interior. At the recent auto show, I was able to sit in the 03 Accord, and RSX and the 03 Corolla. When I was sitting in the Accord I thought I was still in a Civic. It is really not that much more spacious than a Civic, and the dash looks nearly identical. It is almost the same thing. The RSX is like being in a Civic except it looks different. Not really nice and homey like the Civic but different. The Corolla was unfashioned looking inside, although the controls worked well, the new Camry was not all that much nicer, in fact less so, than the Civic, although, the Avalon is an impressive car, I was impressed with that.

So what is the final point? The Civic has a very nice interior. The way the controls work, i.e. the AC ****, radio, wipers, etc. are smoother than some cars that cost more, so Civic owners should be thankful for that. The Corolla is ok too, but I think the Civic interior is nicer. If Honda could only get the final bugs out of the 7th gen then they would really have something.

The interior of Honda cars are very similar, i have driven the Civic, Prelude, SiR, Accord and Crv the controls are all in the same place. I have also driven the Matrix and actually the interior of that car is pretty nice as well. The only interior I hate is the Celica, too cramped, the Cavalier, feels too much like cheap plastic and bulky controls. The Hyundai Tibouron has a really nice interior as well.

a lot of new tiburon'sdesign cues can be traced back to Audi TT interior, but in cheaper material and lack of cohesiveness.

better than civic interior but not up to driver centric rsx.

I love the interior of the rsx myself. No car's interior is homey until you have owned for quite some time imo.

I find the new accords interior much nicer than the civic. Albeit that it's similar but that's about it.

I think the corolla's interior is of high-quality but I can't stand the way it looks and the way it is setup.

Oops, forgot the ol'civic...I like the interior very much..It's plain but that's what a honda is...my '00 accord was so vanilla that it made me puke..

Go take another look at the '03 Accord, the interior materials, fit, and finish are far superior to that of the civic and surpass that of cars costing 10k more. For instnace sit in an accord EX-L Navi that can be purchesd for as little as 23,500 and then sit in say an 50k cadillac or a 28k nissan, or even another more expensive honda product - an acura TL or RL.

The corollaīs interior is SO BORING and plain

I liked my civicīs interior after I got the dash kit, before it was too plain.

Accords interior looks really nice, but if it has the same materials and assembly quality as the civicīs then its going to have the same hundred rattles after a couple of years..
