yes, its not neccesary because civics dont create enough power to neccessitate the upgrade, but it would make your car look 10X better with your rims.
ok fastest ive pushed my car is 120...and stock brakes suck...also just changed the front pads...my god after 24k miles the rotors where worn (not scored but did have lines engraved in them). def upgrade to better rotors if u got $

I plan to upgrade my brake rotors and pads over the winter because mine are giving out now and I only have about 40K km's on them.
Plus it will look so much better when I get my rims on as well.

plan on upgradeing my breaks real soon. my car barely has 10000 miles and it already needs new break pads. does anyone know if 18 wheels cause the breaks to wear out quicker?
Yes I think they will look better once upgraded. They are 4-piston calipers with 12"drilled/slotted rotors
Sorry.. I know dirty a$$ rims

will your stock wheels fit on ok if you upgrade your rotors and calipers? i heard that you might not be able to fit the stock wheels back on, is this true?

yea.. i think everyone has thought about it but i think everyone will agree that is not cost worthy. it'll look "10x" better, yes.... but it will not be worth the amount of money and effort at all.
and yes... why do our stock brakes suck? .. after like around 13k miles or so... brakes started squeeking. and around 15k.. i just couldnt handle the grinding metal to metal anymore.

I have abot 40,000 miles on my civic and the brakes are still fine. Plenty of pad left. They might be tiny but they seem to do the job. I keep hearing of all this brake pad wearing out stuff from folks but could some of it be riding the brakes a bit too much? Back to the topic the larger rotors and calipers would look great in my opinion if you like that kind of stuff on a economy car.

I just replaced the rotors on my car with Brembo blanks - even if I get wheels eventually, I think I'll stick to that since there's really no gain with cross-drilled or slotted with the type of driving I do. Besides, the looks is great, but the higher chance of warping isn't

What I want to do is just get the civic si hub/spindle essemblies for the rear and just go out and get the Wilwood brake kit for the si. Since I have to get si hubs and such for the engine swap, I was thinking I might as well get the rear disc too, but that wont be done until after the motor is in.
