Has any body else noticed the incredible loss in tourqe once you pass 120mph. I have a 2002 coupe EX and the car climbs to 120 no problem but after that it is like it will never get there. It took for ever to get to 138mph ( that where i stopped). Does anybody know a way to get better high end tourque. Just asking.

I have the AEM CAI system. What will the exhaust do for me,besides sound good. I was thinking of getting the HP 4-1 chrome headers with the HP catback exhaust. Any suggestions? What would an adjustable timming gear do for me? Still new with the 4 cyl engine layout.

lucky a-hole autobahn!
If u get the hp racing header and hp catback exhaust would make a good combo, there ment to work together will give u a lil more hp/trq then a mixed combo but not much.

Oh, and HP doesn't have a "catback exhaust system" ... they have a "catalytic converter" with the 4-1 header... or what some people would consider a straight pipe.

Ok, so basically just because you can go as fast as you want, your going to do it daily? Increasing your chances of wiping and turning your car into a million tiny specks of ? Is driving like an idiot like that a standard procedure over there where you live? Im not trying to get up over you on this, but i couldnt possibly see myself ever driving 120+ mph to work every morning... I know cars can be replaced if you slip up but at that speed, is there going to be anything left of YOU to go buy another vehicle????

there is no speed limit next to where i work. the minimum speed limit is 120kmh or 72mph. I get passed going 110mph. That is the average speed. When you drive it every day you get used to is and it's not that impressive. suprisingly there are not a lot of accidents on the roads. people are very cautiouse here. cutting someone off is like sleeping with there wife. not a good thing.

I hope you're not on stock tires. I have been to 115mph in my car once and the car was starting to drift and track like hay. I hope you have an upgraded wheel combo.
No just stock right now. 110 is my max for now. the ride isn't too bad. defenantly won't go over 130 again without new ones though. It scared the sh*t out of me. The car was hard to keep centered. Took a lot of little corrections. But what a thrill. I'll try to vidio tape it next time, or at least take pictures.

The stock EX tires aren't exactly performance tires. I would at least get better tires. If they're fairly new, they could handle going straight alright but I wouldn't dare move the steering wheel. I only went 123 on them. Don't recommend it. I would dump 300 in better tires and improve traction to the car... which equals better steering even if the car isn't slammed. But since you're going over 130, don't stick with an H rated tire. Get something with a higher speed rating... and that's always safer even if you're going 50MPH.
