Think about it man (not saying that I'd pay that much either), how many of these cars with matching numbers are still out there? And seeing as how they were VERY (308 apparently) limited production, his price is "somewhat" justified IMO. I had heard (truth or not, dunno) that Plymouth made so few of these cars because there was some sort of "clause" or "rule" that they had to produce so many before they could use them in the races (Datona etc...).

Stats...
Now, with only 1,920 cars produced, they are pretty darned rare. For them to be run in NASCAR, one car had to be made for each dealership in the US. With only 90 Hemis produced, I've seen a matching numbers Hemi Superbird go for $120,000. Now, I wouldn't expect anyone to buy one, it's a fricken' collector's car. But if I had a gajillion dollars, you'd be sure I had one of these things in my garage. I'd probably use it as daily driver Oh, and unlike some cars, this one actually needs a wing (the only reason it's that big is so you could still open the trunk.

Not that this is a big surprise, but when these Superbirds and Daytonas were on the lots new, many dealerships had a real hard time selling them because people didn't like them, they were too wild for some. In some cases they sat on the lot for a year or more. I would have bought one in a heart beat, but I'm a hard core Mopar nut, so we're wierd like that.

I would Definetly buy the charger. That car is like a cross between a Jag and a viper. That is definetly on my wish list. Just need a few more stats to be certain.

I miss my Hemi,
I had a 74 coronet police pack with a 426 hemi for about 2 months before the car broke down completely. I bought it for $2500..the engine had cracked in accident and was welded and the internals were replaced.....really fun fast car ..engine cracked at the weld though when I started it up in the winter to get some oil in the block...sold it $4000
