Pharohs Monthly Rant!

Wassup folks!

I thought it might be fun to use this space as an opportunity to rant a bit about what irritates me about certain people in the world of our passion..Cars! Hopefully you'll find the time to add your feedback to this and then at the beginning of every month we can do it all over again. This is your time to voice your thoughts on anything that erks you...So here we go....

(As seen in my members rides profile)

Installment #1: Porsche Geeks..Go home and buy something slow.

A special shout out to all you Porsche driving GEEKS (especially in this city), QUIT BUYING THEM! You only give a normally great car a really bad rep. I'm tired of seeing you fools in the coffee shop parking lot every morning before work struggling to get the car into 2nd gear as you get whiplash from the poor cluthing and the obvious lack of control. I realize that you all seem to put emphasis on price and not appearance of yourselves. You look like morons! Especially you guys who are still driving the car with roof down in -3 degree celcius weather with your parkas on trying to look cool! You don't look cool, you look COLD! I can't wait to see how many of you (and you know I've seen you) are driving your twin turbo's in the winter this year. The only car getting a worse rep for Yuppie owners is any BMW under the sun, but you have sucessfully done the same for Porsche..Congrats...Pin Heads! Learn how to drive.

Next month I will focus on...The Ford Focus..errrr...The Ford Pretender.

Later!

when you're older, you'll probably be ranting about how some punk kid in a Civic is messing with you in your BMW.

the problem here, is that most people grow up wanting a porche, wanting a fast car, but can never afford it. you live from age 16 till 40 drooling at the sight of a porche, and by the time you are 50 and can afford it you are too old to drive it the way it is meant to be drivin, but you still buy it and make a fool out of yourself. these people keep there cars in there home garage but with the garage door open so that everyone sees it (instead of acctually driving it). in my opinion when you are that old, and you want an expensive car, get a cadilace , or big luxery car, you will better in then, and they drive better at 40 km/h

Without the Boxster, there would be no morons, and there would still be 911's. Once a car breaks about $60000, the Coffee house wieners seem to go elsewhere with their turtleneck sweaters and goofy shoes.

My dad is 55 years old and only drives German manuals. Tell him he can't drive and he'll smoke you half way to hell. But I do agree, if you can spend (a minumum) of $68,000 on a car, you can at least learn how to drive it. But all those wannabes driving Boxsters... Not a bad car, but save the few extra dollars, get a 911, and don't buy $5 lattes.

People who drive like you give Honda owners a bad name. No wonder the cops watch us so closely. If the bimmer had a decent driver, he would've owned you.
