Is this a reasonable idea?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about trading my 02 Auto HX and getting a 02 or 03 Manual EX. now the reason for this is because I plan on throwing in a turbo some day and i definitely don't want a turbo automatic. Now how much should I expect as a trade in on my HX and how much should I be looking at getting an ex model? also is this a good idea as far as making my car a fast one or is it just a waste of time and money and i should just trade it in for a faster vehicle (rsx, celica gts, some other fast import)?

Depending on how many miles, i would think it could be worth it. We are reaching good times now with HKS coming out with the turbo manifold here soon. Im going to turbo my car but i wont have the money till im out of college, if you like the way the civic looks, stay with it. and if your willing to wait about probably less then 9 months for the full turbo kit, i would say trade in for another vic.

I wouldn't go with a Civic if my plans were to have a fast car. It'd be a waste of money. If you want an import and don't have Skyline type money (which I don't think many, if any, people on this site have) then you're only choice would be an RSX type-S in my opinion. Coz thats the only reasonably import car that actually has some power to it. Then go with a turbo, etc, on that. But if you REALLY want to go FAST... forget Japan, buy American or German.
