Ran a 99 Mustang GT last night
I got the opportunity to go to the track last night and race a 99 GT. He has a K&N filter but is otherwise stock. My car is completely stock.
We raced 9 times, and I beat him 6 out of the 9. However, I had a faster ET and trap on every run, but he won the race by beating me on reaction time. (though 2 of his wins, he red-lighted)
Here's my best times.... I was launching at 4500rpm, and that's LOW!! This track was slippery tonight, so I could have done better (i've had 2.0 60' times)... but I'm not disappointed.
My BEST time:
Me: RT .942 -- 60' 2.240 -- 14.065 @ 100.15
Him: RT .420 -- 60' 2.319 -- 14.414 @ 97.43
My BEST trap:
Me: RT .947 -- 60' 2.240 -- 14.085 @ 101.84
Him: RT 1.010 -- 60' 2.369 -- 14.633 @ 96.53
I had runs ranging from 14.0xx to 14.3xx...
I had one 14.5xx, but there's an interesting story with that one...
I ran against an S2000 that had exhaust, intake, and flywheel.
On this run, I grinded 2nd gear. He did not grind or miss any shifts.
However, look at our times...
Me: RT 1.213 (where the heck was I???) -- 60' 2.287 -- 14.573 @ 98.26
Him: RT .925 -- 60' 2.353 -- 14.836 @ 97.94
He's modded and ran a 14.8. I'm stock AND grinded 2nd, and STILL ran a 14.5 with a higher trap.
What a difference it makes when someone can drive.

That just helps prove the theory that S2000's are almost tuned to perfection from the factory, and not just any modification will help.[hr]

You mean get my 60' times down.
Reaction Time has nothing to do with your ET.
I have run 13.7's with 2.0 and 2.1 second 60' times.
