2003 Toyota Matrix XRS!!
I don't know if this has been posted before, and I don't really care, but either way I'm reading an ad for the new 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS right now, and this little thing has a DOHC 180hp, 8100rpm redline engine, and a 6spd tranny?!!!! Am I the only one saying, WHAT THE F_CK?!!!

your right no new changes on the Matrix and its a fun car to drive i test drove one for the he!! of it and it was pretty fast and that 6th gear was awesome maybe the fact that there was one

mmmmm. why compare civics with matrix or any other category out there? should we be comparing civics with corollas, focus and sentras? evenif these cars have bigger engines and have more hps, there is still si in the market, right? sure the current si looks odd, but it still has more hp than ex, lx, and dx models. for one, civics were made to be an econo car, except civic type r which is not being sold here in america.
time will come after market parts for 7th gen civics arrive. the question is, will these parts ever arrive?

Civic Si is the same price (or more) than the mighty Matrix XRS. They are both tallish hatchbacks. They are both aimed at younger people. I think it's fair to say that you can cross shop a Civic & Matrix.
