New Z car is sweet
I went to the Nissan dealer the other day and there was a Z car in the showroom. I sat in it and it was awesome. The tilt wheel tilts the guages too. The clutch was kinda hard but then again its a true sports car not a compact family sedan that I pretend is a sports car. I wish I had one. The new Skyline GTRs will have the vq35dett engine the same layout as the Z. I wonder if there will be any swaps.

The design of the 350Z certainly is unique enough. I think this car stands out on the road as much as Audi TT or Toyota Celica, if not more. Only time will tell how it will do in the long term though. I think 350Z is sitting on a very unique situation, because most of its competitions--Honda S2000, Mercedes SLK, BMW Z4, Audi TT & Porsche Boxster--are all roadsters!
350Z is physically bigger than its direct competitions. And heavier. This might be a bad thing from performance point of view, but somehow, it fits the North American makret. We have an unsual preception that "bigger is more expensive." Some people even have a problem with spending lots of $$$ on a smaller roadster. Extra size in the 350Z might make it "better value", especially when its labeled to have 290HP.

Dumb question. What exactly is meant by a "roadster?" Just like a little sports car?
