Rep Power: 0 Americans have had enough. SVT, PVO and other special badges are popping up.
From some spy photos...
1. Chrysler will make a V8 version of a 300M, with a "Hemi" engine. Rumoured to be around 350HP.
2. Dodge will soon release the 205HP turbocharged Neon. They claim 0-60mph in just 5.9s.
2. Pontiac will release a V8 version of Grand Prix GTP. Rumoured be be 4.0L or less in size, making over 300HP.
3. Caddy will hotrod it's CTS, to combat M3, C32 & S4. They'll stuff the tried, tested & true 5.7L V8 pulled from the C5 Vette, making 350HP.
4. Chevy will make an SVT Focus Fighter, in form of the Cavalier. It will have forced induction of some sort, making over 200HP. Suspension will be completely redesigned so it will actually handle well.
5. Ford's next generation F-150 Lightening pick up will have at least 450HP.
You can tell that these guys are HURTING to change their image. Domestics are generally not considered "cool" anymore, unless you are driving their SUV. Most are just going with big-displacement method, but I guess for people who want speed, that's okay. Mercedes got away with it for their AMG cars, and it's only naturally expected from the domestic coompanies.
