Ok so I'm replying on this topic kinda late...but I believe every 5K (or roughly every 6 months) is best. Last time I had my oil changed at 3K, mainly because my car is sitting idle in traffic just as long as it's actually in motion.

well i either drive streets all day and i dart in and out of traffic(safely) but i am always beating the crap out of my car... and if i am on the freeway i am going like 80. so it just needs a little more love... so if you drive like that... you need to change fluids more... its like you haveing a 100,000 sports car... there is alot more maintainance that you have to do to it just because it is a high performance car...
