Stopped for supposidly out running cops!!!

so i was driving home last night (fri night) about 130am and outta nowhere i see a car coming up quick, i was like "it has to be a cop but i didnt do anything THIS TIME ." so i pull over and the cop comes up to my window and says
cop 1: "were u out this way thurs night?"
me: "no"
cop 1: "well the reason i pulled you over is because there was a car that fits the description of yours that ran from us thurs night and we clocked him at 89 in a 45 and we didnt catch him"
me: "nope it wasnt me, i woulnt try and run reguardless cuz i dont need anymore speeding tickets"
cop 2: "so if i check around and investigate nobody will have seen this car out here thurs night"
me: "absolutely not......."
me: "the only other car that resembles mine is a silver civic hatchback w/ decals and he goes to all the local shows and i see him around quite often"
cop 1: "ok well give me you phone numbers and an officer might call you to get some info"

so more than likely it was the silver hatchback that ran from them

the moral of the story if im right about the hatch is that.....it is possible for civics to outrun and out manuver the cops

Yes it is absolutely possible for a civic to outrun a police cruiser. Especially when manoeuvering around corners. Only with a good driver though. Cops are usually fairly decent drivers and are trained at high-speed driving. Even in a straight line though, a police cruiser only runs 16.5 - 16.7 sec in the 1/4 (Impalas and Crown Victorias).

If that was in Cali, that person would NOT have gotten away. The CHP's new cars are white Camaros with 600HP Corvette engines in them (yes, modified).

I have yet to see one of these bad boys chasing someone.

They usually end the chases with spike strips. no fun

The newer white police corvettes are that fast, yes. The hard to believe and scarier thing? They're unmarked.

Some are unmarked while some come with a star badge on each door. Those Camaros are sick. It would be stupid to try to flee from something like that... they are incredibly intimidating.

That sounds kind of bogus...I believe once the cops lose sight of the person for a certain length of time (no longer than a few minutes, lol...we're not talking days) during a chase, they have to give up...and the subject is safe...or something like that. *shrugs* Dunno, laws could be different in other states.

Guess I'll be seeing you on Police Wildest Chases... whatever that show's called. Hope you don't aggrivate the cop.

I don't see many ricers on that show but it would be hilarious to see one.

where the hell do you put a person who is under arrest in a camaro? 2 door, would be kind of dangerous for the criminal to be sitting that close to the cop and i dont think it would be possible to put up some kind of guard like they do between the driver and rear seats in the crown vics.......do they like call for another cruiser to come pick up the person whos being arrested? lol did this make any sense

It's probably no big to call in a Crown Victoria. Maybe they toss their victims in the trunk of the Camaros?
