me kill 99 LS teg
my boy has a 1999 Integra LS with AEM cold air, and i have my completely stock 02 Civic EX. we took off from a dead stop. it was him and his 110lbs friend, and me and my two 12" rockfords in sealed box. we took off, i launched at 3500, wasnt tryin to spin tires, and he went all out. first gear was over and he shifted to second while i went on in first for another 3 seconds, by this time i am a 1/2 car length ahead. i get into second gear (nice tire spin going into second) and i immediately pull 1 car length, then two, then i shift to third gear. by then i was like 5 ahead, and he couldnt gain any. seems my vtec pulls a lil harder then his .1 liter advantage. he is a good driver from my view, but i know i am much better, with track experience. his car had no chance, i thought he would have me, but i guess these 7th gens arent half bad at all. i want to race a 99-00 Si. i am confident i can win. so, for those of u who were curious about how we do against non GSR tegs, we burn em up. so LS Integras!!!

well, me and my friend raced at the track, he has a hatchback with a si motor and i beat him BARELY!!!!.....the only reason i beat him was because he bogged out nasty.....but towards the end, i couldnt shake him.....if we would of kept going he would of got me in the top end!!!!.....so, you never know...depends on the driver!

thnx to all backin me up on the Si theory. i only raced my engine up to barely below redline. i never really take it into redline, i notice no power increase. i feel the car gets good at about 5k. engine pulls good in that range. and integra gears are alot shorter than ours LikeWEEEEEEE. and the 3 whole seconds is just an exaggeration, it wasnt to much later after his shift when i shifted. maybe 2 seconds at most. but the pull on that civic vs the teg was awesome. gonna go Si huntin tonite!!

Well, I guess I've had my dumb moment for the night. I'm not sure how that one works, but I guess I need to slap myself for this one
But I really would like to know how an extra 33 HP and 1300 more RPM in a lighter car still makes the old Si slower than a 7th gen EX.

an ex has more toque than a si (114 as compared to 111) and is lighter, with a good driver it is very possible

i mean a si will more than likely win cause of the power at the top end, and the higher redline but if the Si driver cant drive to well and the EX driver can its very possible
edit: not likely but possible

I dont think tire spin going into 2nd is er.. a good thing.
u want traction not tires spinning dont be one of those people that goes on about how chirping ur tires is good in a race.

By you saying the LS Integ went "all out" do you mean he spun his tires at the start? If he did and you didn't, then yeah, I can see how you'd win. Base model Integs stock aren't really quick but they do have the advantage.
If you beat a stock Si, consider yourself lucky enough to be going against a bad driver...
Especially if your car is stock.

if you think that 114 to 111 tq is gonna have you beating Si's think again tardo, and drag racing is not done from light to light either champ so think again. Just because you beat someone who cant drive worth a damn doesnt mean your car isnt faster just means you raced someone who doesnt know how to handle the car they own simple as that. I think you guys should race JoeB16
He can actually drive (not better then me ) but he can drive and it seems most of you catch some idiot at a light who doesnt have a clue and try to make it seem as if your car is fast.
