honda quality? this is a brand new tranny set up. hydrolic shift likage; in its FIRST production year. try running a NOS on your car every friday and saturday night in a pretty much stock car. my syncros are fried. i have a revo short shifter and a crappy stock clutch. ive had many shops look at the car......and they even say if you continue to abuse the car in that way.... you have to have $$$. transmissions always blow in little 4 bangers if you drive it hard enough. im not faulting anyone but me. the car works fine... STOCK!. other than that ask anyone who races their car religously how many transmissions they can go through. case in point; the MTV true life...Im a street racer. everone has a tranny graveyard. in any case since i was layed off i have been abusing the car and no more runinng NOS. i guess i will just keep it for SHOW USE ONLY like most of the other people on this site. i think an EX tranny might help though. the larger gear ratio should be slower in stock..... but better to take the abuse of NOS.
by the way i used to have a ford taurus gl 93 running NOS. NEVER a motor problem but i went through 4 trannys in 2 and a half years. thats an auto.

We met at the Pike remember? Dude! Now you wrecked your car??? The hell? Just my opinion, but if you're going to tear into the scene like that, I suggest an older model, or beefing up your new car...I understand the need for what you want to do, without a doubt! But you're making it a much more expensive hobby than it need be! If you really want to go ***** to the wall all the time, you have the wrong car for the job...I'd get rid of your car and get like a CRX or a 5/6th gen civic to beat up on...parts are a helluva lot less expensive and more easy to come by! You're just burning your money away for 17 seconds of glory...think about it!
Try greenleaf...Not sure where, but they're up in MA, and have a huge network of salvage yards (not junk yards), so they have a more current selection of cars that can be parted out...
Seriously man, I'm with you having a DX, but mine is 5 years older than your car, and can get the parts at half the rate and at double the yards!
