How Quick are the older Altimas?
You know like the 99 or maybe 2000? Reason why I ask is I surprised the hell out of myself when I pulled a car length and a half on one last night when the guy wanted to race. By the way his car was riced out like hell. LED windshield nozzles, neon lighting inside his car and under, and a chrome tip on a stock exhaust. But still shouldn't they be quicker than a civic?
they have alot of low end power, but kinda lag up top.....My girlfriend just bought one, when her prelude died and it is NICE to drive a car thast you don't have to rev to 4 grand just to get a little power out of....
Instead of how quick the old Altima is, the correct question should be : how slow is the old Altima?
The one I drove felt quite lazy, heavier and slower than the civic, even slower than the 4cyl. accord but very very boring to drive.

my mom has a 99 altima gxe, i drive it once in a while, and it is indeed faster than my civic, with the 2.4 litre i-4. i raced my friend's 1990 integra ls with my civic and my mom's altima, the civic lost by 4-5 car lengths, and the altima lost by 2-3 car lengths. but i agree they have no top end, it takes forever to make it to 5000k
