I'd love to be a honda saleman right now. Those bad boys are probably going to sell quite well for the first few months. Probably would be fairly easy to hold a nice gross on em.
I work at a plant that makes vynil and sticks it to foam, (laminate) we make laminate for a hole bunch of car co. for diffrent parts etc. Well, with the all new accord cam an all new process, vynil compond, and this really bad smelling backcoat. anywho, we can't seam to get the process down, so honda is kinda po'd at us right now, and we might lose most if not all of their accord bizznes. Our civic program isn't looking to hot right now either, so we could lose that too. If we lose honda number three lam. which does only honda might as well be torn apart and sold as scrap. honda uses our laminate for the dashes and cloveboxes in both the accord and civic, so you can thank me for your dash.

I work with the guy responsible for the Rear window gasket in the 7th gen Civic Coupe. He left the company before the cars really started selling, but when I showed him mine, he was quite proud of himself.
Sometimes, I can see right through myself ...

I actually saw these on the lot this past Friday, the day they were for sale. The look like utter crap. The front looks like a cross between an Altima and a Maxima and the rear looks a lot like a Saturn.
I'm not impressed by this car, and nor are a lot of people I talk to. Hopefully Honda does right by the coupes.
OT: It seems that the dealers haven't been informed of the changed on the 2k3 Civics yet. I was talking with the sales people and asked them what kind of changes would be made and they said "None at all on the Civic." I just looked at them and . I tried to explain to them what Honda was doing and they just looked at me like
. I guess we'll see when the new Civics hit the lots.

The new Accords are sOoooo much car for the money it is amazing. They look much better in person than in pictures. There is some amazing tech behind these cars and they are going to sell like crazy.

I took an closeup look at it on my lunchbreak today and it's a lot different than I imagined it from the pics...the control panel in the center is weird, but there are features that were nice...I might take an LX for a test drive tonight just to see how it does....Sticker price for the LX at my place is about 20K
I took a look at it, and even got it under the hood. The engine is a J-series engine. Last # ended in 4. I don't remember it's entire engine code. (Perhaps J23A4?) I was looking at a silver V6 EX auto at Honda of Oakland. The inside is nice, but 6-speed!!!!!!! They don't have any!
The rear is ugly on the sedan. Sorry to say. But I like the new headlights. The salesman told me that it has the 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension... no MacPherson in the front? I'm supposed to get a brochure tomorrow and I'll scan it. I cannot wait until the coupe is released. I heard from a salesman that they get the coupes in a month but I thought it was January 2003? I first mistook it for an Si at a distance looking at the front of it. I was like, "Kew, a 2003 Si in burgandy."
Kinda embarrassed myself when I brought that burgandy car to the attention of a salesman.
I'd like to see the aftermarket take a shot at this car... and I wonder what the accessories for the car will look like... (body kit!)
The interior is nice. The car redlines at the same place our car redlines at. 6,800 RPMs. The compartments inside look really strange but cool at the same time. Nothing too flashy. It doesn't match the interior of the Accord Type R though. (Actually, no other Honda matches that car's interior.)
The rims were okay. (EDIT) 16s they are.
Nothing more to say.

That's it... I gotta be the first one to ask the question...
Will that engine fit in the 2002 Accord chassis? Imagine that... a V6 EX 2k2 Accord with 240HP and a 6-speed just like it deserved. I still think those Accords look better than the newer ones. They're both J-series engines, eh?
