6th gen Celica

I know you guys are real sticklers for civics, and so am I... But ive been looking for a good deal on a civic for a good 3 months now and i cant seem to find one. I found a '96 Celica from flordia, in PERFECT condition... the car looks like its been sitting under a tarp for 6 years... clean engine, new tires, alloy rims, perfect body, sun roof, 99k Miles, 5sp, $7900

what do you think???

Sounds like a good deal. Check kbb for the actual worth. I had a 5th gen before my Civic and I loved it. They're slow, 130HP GT, ~100HP ST, but they corner like a ****. I really liked the look of the 5th gens too. Never had a single problem in my 4 years of owning a 1993 car, unlike my problems with my brand new 2002 Civic.

Toyotas are good cars and all but 99 thousand miles. It will eventually start breaking down. I thought about
getting something besides a honda but nothing beats honda's quality. My friend has a 92' accord with 198k miles and it's still perfect. I say stick with honda but that's just my opinion

Toyota makes quality vehicles too. My '91 Toyota pickup has 190,000 on it and runs perfect. Only thing that's ever been changed is the starter contacts.

i think 99k is a lot of miles. u might end up spending alot more money in few months to fix it up. i would try looking for a nissan 240sx or the old rx-7 or even a mr2. u can get a good deal on any of those cars now days.
