RSX Type R???
Ok im sitting downtown in cedarburg, the little suburb of milwaukee. and i see a blue RSX go by and stop down the street. Ok so i go down to talk to the guy cause it looks sweet and everything. Ok so he tells me its a "type r". Ok now im not dumb theres no way i belive him. I mean the guy is in his middle ages so im thinkiing MAYBE he could pull it off... but still that would be insane. So i look at at and he has teh red "H" emblem, and the "integra" badge on the back left. He also had the "RSX Type R" badge on the back right. Ok so will someone please explain to me if this is possible???
its an Integra Type R. over in japan there is no RSX. its still Integra. and no its not an actual Integra Type R unless the guy shipped it over from japan and made it where it would pass US emissions. id have to say its just a Type S with JDM badging
Check the engine code.
K20A2 = Type S
K20A = Type R
That's the best way to know for sure if it's a DC5R. It doesn't matter if it has the wing, an "Integra" badge that can easily be ordered, along with the body kit or black JDM headlights that have Xenon H.I.D. with the interior housing Recaros. The rear seats are color matched to the front. You pretty much can look at the dashboard. It has no radio. The steering wheel is different. Anyone who orders the steering wheel is a dumbazz for such an over priced part you can only get from Japan. The floormats are Type R, and the interior even says "Integra Type R" in the bottom part of the door jambs. The redline is 8,400 and the pedals are silver including the footrest. The color of the floor matches the seats and the interior door panels, too. I think even the rear windows come tinted by Honda automatically. The rims are 17s (resembling close to that of the Enkei 5 Plus) that come in either a dark gray or white. The front grille is very different, as it looks more like the grille on a 7th gen civic coupe. The height of the car is slightly lower than the Type S but not as low as the older ITRs. They have side-markers (unlike the Acuras), "Type R" badges on the side, a pretty noticable exhaust note (I have a MPG clip of it) and last but not least, the "Integra" and "Type R" fonts have been slightly altered with italics. There's little difference between the ITR body kit and the body kit Acura has and you can easily tell the difference from the rear of the car.
But the easiest way to tell is to just look at the back. The new Integra Type R still does NOT come with a rear windshield wiper.
You can also express how dumb these people are by asking what year the car is... the first DC5R is a 2k1, NOT a 2k2 like the RSX is and there are no 2k2 DC5R released AT LEAST until we get 2k3 RSXs. If they say 2k2, they've been caught.

I dunno about the DC5's, but with the old DC2's you can just look at the wheels to tell if it's a Type R or not. 5 lug = Type R. Sure, you can do a 5-lug conversion, but this is usually the way I can tell.
DC2R comes in 3 colors: Phoenix Yellow, Championship White Pearl, and Nighthawk Black Pearl.
DC5R comes in Championship White Pearl, Arctic Blue Pearl, and now... red!
From the body color chart <a class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge target=blank href="http://http://www.honda.co.jp/INTEGRATYPE-R/about/typer.html">here</A> it might come in silver and black.

But if it doesn't have a moonroof, it could be a base model fixed up to look like a Type R... and though the base model is slower, it would do better looking like a Type R than a Type S could pull off. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't the base models come without the moonroof? Or is it an option?
